REPORT: 40% Of Media Consumed Ironically
Coming as a surprise to some and a moderate surprise to others, a report recently announced that nearly forty percent of the daily media consumed is done so ironically.
The report, which references the popularity of intellectual properties such as The Room, Troll 2, and Home Improvement, shows how they and other kinds of media are consumed purely ironically.
“Sometimes you just have to watch something so bad it’s good” said media expert Daniel Willard. “I’m ironically watching a basketball game right now.”
Additional information provided on the report showed that of the 12.2 million viewers of this year’s Grease Live, only around 3 million were watching it without a hint of irony.
The report, which ironically was conducted with a hint of irony, is an ironic view of the way our culture views irony.
